I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming countryside retreat that felt like a scene out of a Jane Austen novel. The hotel, set in a beautiful historic manor house, transported me back in time with its large windows, high ceilings, and tasteful decor. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the fresh flowers to the delicious home-grown breakfast. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, making my stay truly memorable. Plus, the hotel's location next to the pond offered lovely views from my window, adding to the overall picturesque experience.
All was well, but a little more lighting in the rooms would be nice.

Spending Christmas in the countryside was a great idea! The warmth and friendliness of the hosts made this trip even more special. The homemade breakfast was delicious and the fresh produce made it worthwhile waking up early to enjoy it. being able to take a walking tour to learn more about the area was a unique experience. The location was ideal for enjoying a peaceful and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The only downside from our visit was the darkness of the parking area when returning late at night from dinner. It is recommended to take a torch to make the walk back to the hotel easier.

The Christmas experience was wonderful! the location was perfect, close to town but still immersed in the beautiful countryside. the hosts offered us local restaurant suggestions, which delivered to the accommodation, and we were able to have a private dining experience complete with beautiful tableware, candles, and music. Breakfast was delightful, featuring local produce, and we enjoyed a private walking tour of the heritage sites. the rooms were spacious and comfortable with stunning views.
The rooms could have had better lighting; some areas felt quite dim.
